Here is the USDAs latest Land Values Summary Report 2024 for our Midwest Reporting states –
Our Corn Belt States: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Ohio, cropland values climbed by an average of 4.5% to $8,560. The average cropland value in our Northern Plains states: Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota was $4,040 per acre, an increase of 6.6%. Although the number of farm land sales is down from last year and the uncertain early harvest reports, supply and demand is still notable, with farmers leading the charge on quality farmland purchases.
